Dr. Wolkin is currently the attending clinical psychologist at the Joan H. Tisch Center for Women’s Health.  She has a faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry.  Dr. Wolkin currently supervises NYU/Bellevue psychiatry residents in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and  teaches a health psychology course for Masters students at NYU College of Arts and Sciences.



Dr. Wolkin completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. She had an appointment to Harvard Medical School. Post post-doc, Dr. Wolkin spent a year working as a neuropsychologist on a protocol studying the impact of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) on cognitive functioning. Dr. Wolkin earned a PhD in Psychology, with a behavioral health emphasis, from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yeshiva University. Her dissertation was titled The Psychometric Assessment of Major Depressive Disorder in Epilepsy Patients, and she collected her data at the NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Mount Sinai Medical Center/College of Medicine in the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.

 QueensCollege_Icon2Dr. Wolkin obtained her B.A. from Queens College, City University of New York. She majored in psychology and went through an honors business program for her minor. Dr. Wolkin graduated Summa Cum Laude and received highest honors in her major. She was awarded with the Harold Schuckman Psychology Award, which is given to a student who will continue to study psychology on the graduate level. She also received the Sunny Budow Memorial Award. This scholarship is given to a graduating senior in a health-related discipline who has maintained an outstanding academic record at the College, has made significant contributions in campus affairs, and has displayed qualities of concern for others.
